About This Project

Το καφέ- μπαρ Σιμούν βρίσκεται στον Πεζόδρομο της Καλαμαριάς και αποτελεί ένα new spot για την περιοχή. Ο χώρος αποτελείται από το ισόγειο, όπου βρίσκεται ο βασικός χώρος του μπαρ και των όρθιων, και το πατάρι όπου σχεδιάστηκε για τραπεζάκια. Η τζαμαρία που διατρέχει τους δύο ορόφους προσφέρει άπλετο φως και ανεμπόδιστη θέα στον πεζόδρομο. Η έμπνευση για το σχεδιασμό έρχεται από την παλιά παραδοσιακή αυλή και τα στενά δρομάκια στις παλιές ελληνικές πόλεις, όπου μαζευόταν η γειτονιά για να πει τα νέα της! Ο χώρος διαμορφώθηκε έτσι ώστε να συνδυάσει τα vintage με τα μοντέρνα στοιχεία και να χαρίσει μια αίσθηση οικειότητας και ‘παρείστικης’ ατμόσφαιρας. Βασικά στοιχεία της μελέτης είναι η επιλογή της πατητής τσιμεντοκονίας και το πράσινο χρώμα στους τοίχους, το μωσαϊκό πλακάκι στο μπαρ και το ξύλο. Το τελικό αποτέλεσμα αποπνέει μια ζεστασιά όπως ο άνεμος Σιμούν!

Café Bar Simoon is located at the pedestrian road of Kalamaria and it is a new spot in the area. The space is split in two floors : the ground floor where there is the main bar area with standing people, and the attic which has been designed as the main seating area. The glazing runs the whole space vertically which offers, apart from adequate sunlight, an unhindered view to the pedestrianized area and the main public square of Kalamaria. The design inspiration came from the old traditional courtyard and alleyways of old Greek cities where people were gathered to talk and share the news! The design combines vintage and modern elements and gives a feeling of familiarity and a friendly atmosphere. The main design elements are the choice of the grey stucco and the pastel green on the walls, the mosaic on the bar structure and finally the wood surfaces. The final results brings up a warm environment and feeling just like the simoon wind!
